PERRY, George G. (Boston, MA, Nov. 1, 1853--Unknown). At the age of three, Perry and his parents moved to Iowa. In 1873 he became a partner in the grocery of [[STANDISH AND PERRY]]. Standish left the business in 1883 and was replaced by W. R. Perry, a younger brother of George. The business was renamed [[GEORGE G. PERRY AND BROTHER]]. Perry became the editor of the [[DUBUQUE TIMES]] and in 1896 was appointed the state oil inspector.
