PARK HILL GROCERY. The grocery was listed in the 1955 through 1968 Dubuque City Directory at 2850 Burlington.

James and Dolores Waul purchased the neighborhood grocery store business and building at 2850 Burlington Street from Bill Wand and his wife, Lillian. The building was remodeled several times and made larger. Contractor Andy Richards built an attached large home (address 402 Primrose St.) to the side and in back of the store building where the Wauls moved from 2935 Keokuk. Eventually the store was operated by Ken Waul, the son of James and Dolores.

Sometime after 1965, John "Jack" THOMPSON leased the store for an OKY DOKY.
