MOLO, Bart L. (Dubuque, IA, Nov. 26, 1885--Dec., 1948). Partner, Molo Sand and Gravel Company. Beginning in 1918, Molo and his brother Harold founded the family business bearing their name.

Molo received widespread Midwestern fame beginning in 1938 for hosting an annual horse show and race. Held at SILVER ACRES, his farm, the show boasted of being the only major horse show in America staged free of charge. All concessions were donated to the American Legion. The attendance in July 1940 exceeded twenty thousand.
