NEUWOEHNER, Robert F. (Dubuque, IA- ). Senior Vice-President of Business Development, DUBUQUE BANK AND TRUST COMPANY. Neuwoehner has compiled a distinguished career of service to Dubuque. He has served on the boards of the VISITING NURSE ASSOCIATION, BOY SCOUTS, JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT, and the DUBUQUE BUSINESS HALL OF FAME. He co-chaired the Dubuque capital appeal for LORAS COLLEGE with a goal of $10 million and later served on the project's steering committee. Neuwoehner has served as president of the GREATER DUBUQUE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. Beyond Dubuque, he has served on the National Defense Executive Reserve, a group of over 1,200 business executives available to the federal government in time of emergency. He has been a member of the influential Iowa Association of Business and Industry.
For several years, Neuwoehner played piano professionally with Midwestern dance bands, including that of Lawrence Welk, before returning to Dubuque. He worked forty-five years with the St. Regis Paper Company and its predecessor, the Dubuque Container Company. Upon retirement as general manager of the Dubuque plant, he immediately began work for Dubuque Bank and Trust. Neuwoehner retired from that position in 1991 to pursue a career in real estate sales.
