HAUGHT, Roy. (Dubuque, IA-- ). Artist. Haught received a BA from LORAS COLLEGE and a MA from the University of Notre Dame. He is a retired member of the faculty of Loras College. He taught art and for many years was the chair of the art department. His activities as an artist include the DUBUQUE ART ASSOCIATION, the Iowa Watercolor Society which exhibits his works extensively and where he is a signature member, and membership in the American Watercolor Society.

Haught's honors and awards include honorable mention for the painting titled “Wild Ferns” by the Rocky Mountain Watercolor Society show. He earned best of show for the painting “Near St. Donatus” by the Dubuque Art Association where the painting is part of the permanent collection. He also received best of show for the painting “Windbreak” by the Dubuque County Fine Arts Society. One person shows include the Cedar Rapids Art Gallery, Des Moines Art Gallery, and University of Dubuque Art Gallery. Group shows include the Merrill Chase Gallery in Chicago, University of Wisconsin, and Loras College.
