HAUGHT, Roy. (Dubuque, IA-- ). Artist. Haught received a B.A. from LORAS COLLEGE and an M.A. from the University of Notre Dame. He was a member of the faculty of Loras College where he taught art and for many years was the chair of the art department. The DUBUQUE ART ASSOCIATION and the Iowa Watercolor Society, whre he is a signature member, have exhibited his works extensively. He held membership in the American Watercolor Society.

Haught's honors and awards include honorable mention from the Rocky Mountain Watercolor Society for the painting entitled “Wild Ferns” . He earned best of show for the painting “Near St. Donatus” from the Dubuque Art Association where the painting is part of the permanent collection. He also received best of show for the painting “Windbreak” from the Dubuque County Fine Arts Society. One person shows include the Cedar Rapids Art Gallery, Des Moines Art Gallery, and University of Dubuque Art Gallery. Group shows in which he participated include the Merrill Chase Gallery in Chicago, University of Wisconsin, and Loras College.
