SCHARLE, Theodore. (Luxembourg (Europe), June 21, 1867--Dubuque, IA, Mar. 6, 1950) Scharle emigrated to the United States as a child and lived for seventy-five years in Dubuque. He was elected county auditor in 1906 after serving as a deputy in the office then held by John H. WEIMER. Scharle served four terms and was also the special purchasing agent for Dubuque County.
