SOLDIERS' HOME. The west storeroom of the TREMONT HOUSE was established in 1864 as a Soldiers' Home. Divided in half, a front room was for reading and sitting. The back room was for sleeping. Mr. Dickinson, the proprietor, furnished free meals which were paid for by a local society.
