CHAPMAN, Maurice L. (Colesburg, IA, Apr. 26, 1868--Dubuque, IA, 1936). Civic leader. Chapman came to Dubuque in 1890 and began work in the estimating department of the [[CARR, RYDER, AND ADAMS]]. Three years later he accepted work with [[FARLEY AND LOETSCHER MANUFACTURING COMPANY]] and remained with the company the rest of his life. He continued his job as an estimator and salesman on large building contracts.
