BRYNE BROS. TRANSFER & CARRIAGE COMPANY. BYRNE BROTHERS entered the livery business in 1895 in cooperation with the ILLINOIS CENTRAL RAILROAD. It was alleged that Sanford A. ATHERTON had used his influence to move local business to the Milwaukee railroad. Local hotel owners claimed that Atherton also worked to provide business exclusively to the JULIEN HOTEL. (1)

The 1911-12 Dubuque City Directory listed 37 Julien.

The 1915 Dubuque City Directory listed 900-940 Iowa as the address.
