KUTSCH, Joseph P. (Dubuque, IA, Oct. 6, 1859--Dubuque, IA, Oct. 9, 1939). Contractor and builder. As a student of his father, Kutsch learned contracting and building skills so well that "Kutsch Brothers" became synonymous with fine construction in Dubuque. Among his projects were [[SAINT MARY'S CASINO]], Immaculate Conception Academy, and St. Francis convent. In the early 1900s Kutsch was also one of the finest marksmen in the United States with over one hundred medals and trophies won in competition.
