HARKETT'S FLORAL NURSERY. The 1875-1876 Dubuque City Directory gave the address as 834 Main for W. A. HARKETT at 357 Julien Avenue.
Later located at the 500 block of Hill Street, the nursery was operated by William Harkett who owned five greenhouses and shipped his plants throughout the United States.
The 1904-1905 Dubuque City Directory located this business at 892 Main (store) and the nursery at West 5th and Hill. These addresses were also used in 1909.
