DUBUQUE AND BELLEVUE RAILROAD CO. According to the 1857-1858 Dubuque City Directory the Dubuque and Bellevue Railroad Company listed as officers: W. Y. Lovell, President; E. G. Potter, Treasurer; P. H. Conger, Secretary; and directors [[FARLEY, Jesse P.|Jesse P. FARLEY]], [[BOOTH, Caleb H.|Caleb H. BOOTH]], [[SMITH, Platt|Platt SMITH]], Lovell, Potter, N. Kilbourn, Chas. Barroll, B.P. Lamberson, and D. F. Spurr who was also the general agent and attorney.

The railroad was to follow the course of the [[MISSISSIPPI RIVER]] to Bellevue and then on to Sabula. At this point the railroad made connection with the Dixon Air Line Railroad through Illinois to Chicago.
