DUBUQUE AND BELLEVUE RAILROAD CO. According to the 1857-1858 Dubuque City Directory, the Dubuque and Bellevue Railroad Company listed as officers: W. Y. Lovell, President; E. G. Potter, Treasurer; P. H. Conger, Secretary; and directors Jesse P. FARLEY, Caleb H. BOOTH, Platt SMITH, Lovell, Potter, N. Kilbourn, Chas. Barroll, B.P. Lamberson, and D. F. Spurr who was also the general agent and attorney.
The railroad was to follow the course of the MISSISSIPPI RIVER to Bellevue and then on to Sabula. At this point the railroad made connection with the Dixon Air Line Railroad through Illinois to Chicago.
