LENIHAN, John M. (London, England, June 18, 1834--  ).  Lenihan came to the United States in 1846 and settled in Dubuque County in 1850. He farmed in Prairie Creek Township for twenty-five years and then came in the city. By 1880 he was the proprietor of the [[KEY CITY LIME WORKS]]. He held the office of Justice of the Peace, Town Trustee and several school offices.
