LENIHAN, John M.
LENIHAN, John M. (London, England, June 18, 1834--1924). Lenihan came to the United States in 1846 and settled in Dubuque County in 1850. He farmed in Prairie Creek Township for twenty-five years and then moved to the city. (1)
By 1880 he was the proprietor of the KEY CITY LIME WORKS. He held the office of justice of the peace, town trustee and several school offices. In 1909 Lenihan served as U.S. Surveyor of Customs. (2)
