TRENK WIRE WORKS. Owned and operated by H. F. Trenk, the company was established in 1880 and located at Fourth and Iowa STREETS.
The 1909 through 1911-12 Dubuque City Directory gave the address of this company as 402 Iowa.
Employing eight workmen, the company produced wire and iron fencing, office railings, elevator enclosures, any kind of ornamental iron work, sieves, and wire cloth for all purposes. Reference cards in the CARNEGIE-STOUT PUBLIC LIBRARY indicate that the company was bought by the ADAMS COMPANY (THE) in 1919.
