CONTINENTAL HOTEL. The 1868 Guide, Gazetteer and Directory of the Dubuque & Soux (sic) City Railroad through 1870-1871 Dubuque City Directory gave the address of this business as the southwest corner of 4th and Main.
The 1873-74 Dubuque City Directory listed the address as 4th and Iowa.
In 1876 the hotel was purchased by A. H. Peaslee and Mr. Conygham and converted into the PEASLEE & COMPANY brewery.
