Schwartzberg, Irwin. (England, 1907--  ). Inventor of Realemon.  Schwartzberg, resident of Dubuque until he entered college, helped the Army develop powdered lemon juice used in K-rations during World War II. Following the war, he found a ready market for reconstituted lemon juice since it had an indefinite shelf life, eliminated the need for squeezing, and could be provided in measured quantities.  His product, Realemon, became a national success.
