In 1972 Moran purchased a worn-out 1929 Model A Roadster from another Dubuque resident. Going to "swap meets" in Rockford, Illinois; Hershey, Pennsylvania; and Milwaukee, Wisconsin permitted him to obtain the parts he needed for the restoration.
