CUSHING-MCFADDEN VINEGAR COMPANY. Manufacturer. In 1861 the James Cushing and Son Vinegar Company was established in Dubuque between Third and Fourth STREETS near the river. Fifty barrels of vinegar were produced daily.
On December 4, 1902, James McFadden purchased the company, and the Cushing-McFadden Vinegar Company was incorporated on December 13, 1902. The products of the new company included vinegar, mustard and cider.
