KUTSCH, Joseph P. (Dubuque, IA, Oct. 6, 1859--Dubuque, IA, Oct. 9, 1939). As a student of his father, Kutsch learned contracting and building skills. Among his projects were [[ST. MARY'S CASINO]], Immaculate Conception Academy, and St. Francis convent.

In 1889 he joined the Kutsch Brothers' Contractors firm. (1) Among his projects were [[ST. MARY'S CASINO]], Immaculate Conception Academy, and St. Francis convent.  


In the 1890s, Kutsch was also one of the finest marksmen in the United States with over one hundred medals and trophies won in competition.
