Mississippi Valley began doing business as an association on July 1, 1959. It was created through the consolidation of the Illinois-Iowa Milk Producers Association and the Quality Milk Association. Quality Milk had purchased the business property and assets of Prairie Farms Creamery of Mt. Carroll, Illinois. MISSISSIPPI VALLEY MILK PRODUCERS ASSOCIATION. Mississippi Valley began doing business as an association on July 1, 1959. It was created through the consolidation of the Illinois-Iowa Milk Producers Association and the Quality Milk Association. Quality Milk had purchased the business property and assets of Prairie Farms Creamery of Mt. Carroll, Illinois. On October 1, 1962 the DUBUQUE COOPERATIVE DAIRY MARKETING ASSOCIATION and the Buckhorn Cooperative Creamery of Maquoketa, Iowa merged with Mississippi Valley.
