FITZPATRICK, Leo H. "Oakie." (Key West, IA.--Aug. 13, 1911---Key West, IA, July 8, 19995). Pioneer aviator. A dairy farmer who also bred registered Guernsey cattle, Fitzpatrick was a pioneer aviator in the Dubuque area.  In 1928, he was one of twelve founders of [[DUBUQUE AIRWAY INC.]] and was the first local pilot to land at the present Dubuque airport.
