As a student at [[DUBUQUE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL]], Vosberg co-captained the 1935 track team that won the State High School Track Championship held at the Drake Relays. In 1940 he became the first Dubuque athlete to play in the Cotton Bowl as a member of the Marquette University football team. Vosberg graduated from Marquette University, where he was a standout end and the 1941 NCAA javelin champion. He played in the College All Star football game against the Chicago Bears at Wrigley Field. (1) | ||
Vosberg went on to play for the New York Giants after being drafted by them in the seventh round in 1941. (2) He played a total of seven games and then served as an assistant football coach at the University of Arizona from 1947-51. (3) | |||
