ZUGENBUEHLER, George J., Jr. (Dubuque, Mar. 19, 1931--Dubuque, IA, June 29, 2009). Zugenbuehler worked for CARADCO, served as the program director of the DUBUQUE BOYS' CLUB from 1961 to 1996, and retired from the Dubuque Engineering Department in 1996. He served as president of the Boys' Club Boosters in 1961.

Active in sports, Zugenbuehler umpired from 1956 to 1992. He was the first umpire in 1981 inducted into the Kiwanis Softball Hall of Fame. In 1985 he was inducted into the DUBUQUE SOFTBALL HALL OF FAME. He was a past member of the Iowa High School Girls Athletic Union and the Dubuque Men's Bowling Association.
