ZEHENTNER, Martha
ZEHENTNER, Martha. A graduate of the DUBUQUE ACADEMY OF MUSIC, Zehentner, a concert pianist, performed with the St. Paul Symphony and then accepted the position of supervisor of music in the Dubuque schools for seven years. She left the city to perform professionally with Karl Ondricek, violinist formerly with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Louis Corell, cellist formerly with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. (1)
She returned to Dubuque to accept a position as instructor at the Dubuque Academy of Music. She served as the organist at St. Luke's Methodist Church (later ST. LUKE'S UNITED METHODIST CHURCH and as an accompanist for visiting artists. (2)
