WVRE-FM. In February 2003, RADIO DUBUQUE launched country music radio station 101.1 WVRE-FM. The promotion was held at the Diamond Jo Casino with a stationary fireworks display flashing the station's logo.

The station was licensed from Dickeyville, Wisconsin and originated from Radio Dubuque's center on Bluff Street. WVRE-FM added country music to the company's classic rock, adult contemporary and information.
