WITNESS PUBLISHING COMPANY (THE)
WITNESS PUBLISHING COMPANY (THE). The Witness Publication Company was founded in 1921. (1) Articles of incorporation for the publishers of The Witness, the official publication of the ARCHDIOCESE OF DUBUQUE, were filed with the county recorder in November, 1935. The articles stated that the corporation was formed for publication of a religious newspaper for the archdiocese and religious newspapers elsewhere. It was stated that the profits of the corporation were to be used by the archdiocese for religious, charitable, and educational purposes. (2)
The 1937 Dubuque Consurvey Directory through 1974 Dubuque City Directory listed 845 Bluff.
The 1977 through 1989 Dubuque City Directory listed the address as 1229 Mt. Loretta Avenue.
