WATTERS AND DENNIS
WATTERS AND DENNIS. Watters & Dennis, organized by Thomas Watters and W. S. Dennis, was established in October, 1885. Prior to that both men were involved in the operation of the Rockdale Flour Mill.
Watters & Dennis occupied a three-story building on Main and a warehouse on Iowa street between Second and Third STREETS. The firm owned their own trucks and drays and employed eight men.
The 1886-87 through 1890-91 Dubuque City Directory listed 136 to 146 Main.
The 1899-1900 Dubuque City Directory listed 136 Main. The company was then listed as a wholesaler of feed.
