SNOW COLLEGE OF DRESSMAKING. Mr. and Mrs. Snow came to Dubuque around 1904 and opened their business in the building formerly used by the DUBUQUE ACADEMY OF MUSIC at the corner of 10th and Main. The announcement was made that same year that, because of increased business, as of October 1st, the college would be located in the BANK AND INSURANCE BUILDING. (1) In 1906 the school announced that it would be offering another night class. (2)

The relocation of the college to Rockford, Illinois was made in June of 1906. The college also had branches in Cascade and Kansas City. (3)

The school returned to Dubuque by 1908. The 1909 Dubuque City Directory gave the address for this dress making school as 605 1/2 Main.
