SCHWIND, B. J. (Dubuque, IA, Sept. 5, 1894--0rlando, FL, Nov. 1944). The son of Benjamin J. SCHWIND, Schwind received his early education in Dubuque at St. Patrick's and LORAS ACADEMY. He completed his legal education at DePauw University and was licensed in Illinois.

Schwind worked for many years in association with the Weiboldt Stores before resigning as secretary-treasurer and director of the company. December 30, 1918 was his last day on the Dubuque County Board of Supervisors upon which he served as chairman. (1) In the early 1920s, he was an officer of the UNION TRUST AND SAVINGS BANK (2)

Schwind served as the director of the Plymouth Citrus Growers' Association from 1935 until the time of his death. He was also a director of the Florida Citrus Exchange, vice-president of the Plymouth Association, and director of the State Bank of Apopka.
