ROOSTER FEEDS. Founded in 1863, the company produced feed products. In 1929 the company was involved with Dubuque annual poultry show by offering a silver loving cup to the winner of most points in one variety. (1) By 1939 the company was named Rooster Feed and Flour Mills. In 1970 the firm employed eighteen people. (2)

The 1957 through 1968 Dubuque City Directory listed 145 W. 1st St. The company was listed as a division of Oelwein Chemical Company.
