ROBEY, Carl, Sr. (Dubuque, IA-- ). Robey worked briefly at FRANK HARDIE ADVERTISING INC., DUBUQUE PACKING COMPANY, and as a construction laborer. From 1965-1974 he was employed at FLEXSTEEL INDUSTRIES, INC..
In late 1974, he began work for the State of Iowa as a Compliance Safety and Health Officer. He retired in 2007.
His labor organization membership included Upholsters International Union (1965-1974), American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Local 3010 (1977-2007, and the Dubuque Federation of Labor.
He was inducted into the DUBUQUE AREA LABOR HALL OF FAME in 2008.
