PRINCESS BALLROOM. Located in the BANK AND INSURANCE BUILDING, the Princess Ballroom opened in 1914. Advertising announcing the opening stated that the ballroom floor measured 45 feet by 80 feet making it the largest in the city. The promoters stated that it was just "high enough above the sidewalk to keep it strictly private."

The hall was ventilated by three large windows each 7 x 9 ft, a skylight, and two large doors. The ceilings were twelve feet tall. Customers were warned-"Do not take a chance of injuring your health by going in a hall not properly ventilated."
