P. C. MURRAY & COMPANY

P. C. MURRAY AND COMPANY. Peter C. Murray graduated from college in Dubuque and after studying law in a Chicago law school joined the firm of Moran, English & Wolfe in Chicago. He later left the profession and worked for the Dubuque Telegraph Herald and the Chicago Times newspapers.
In 1890 Murray established the wholesale liquor firm of P. C. Murray and Company at 233 Main Street in Dubuque. He successfully managed the firm for ten years and then sold it to Andrew A. Cullen, Thomas F. Duggen and a Mr. Kane.
Murray re-entered the legal profession and practiced into the 1920s before dying as the result of an auto accident near Farley on December 17, 1929.
