OXUS CALDRON NO. 4 M.O.W.S.
OXUS CALDRON NO. 4 M.O.W.S. An auxiliary of OXUS GROTTO M.O.V.P.E.R., the organization was established by women who were the wives, daughters, widows, sisters and adopted Daughters of Prophets of Oxus Grotto.
In early April, 1920 a committee of ten women whose husbands were members of Oxus Grotto met at the MASONIC TEMPLE. Their goal was to obtain names and make a formal request from the Supreme Caldron for permission to organize a Caldron in Dubuque. A list of 143 names was gathered.
On June 28, 1920 Oxus Grotto was officially admitted to the Realm of the Supreme Caldron of M.O.W.S. Mrs. Abbie Jenni, previously appointed general chairman, was elected as the first Mysterious Enchantress of the local Caldron.
