MONTGOMERY ELEVATOR COMPANY. Montgomery Elevator Company was an elevator company, founded in 1892, entered the elevator business in 1910 and became the fourth largest elevator company in the United States.
The company was acquired by KONE in 1994. After Montgomery was acquired in 1994, it worked with KONE to make elevators, but only for about 3 years (from 1995 to 1997). (Wikipedia)
The Montgomery Elevator Company in 1957 was located according to the Dubuque City Directory at 1169 Iowa and in 1972 at 36 W. 4th Street.
