MINIATURE GOLF. Miniature golf's origins trace back to Chattanooga, Tennessee in the late 1920s when Garner Carter opened a course featuring such obstacles as gnomes and hollowed-out tree trunks on a course near his Fairyland Inn.

In 2016 Dubuque offered miniature golf at DERBY GRANGE GOLF AND RECREATION CENTER opened in 1995 and the Dubuque Driving Range at 10740 U.S. 52 North which was opened in the mid-1950s.
