MILLHOUSE, George T. (Schapville, IL, August 25, 1869--Dubuque, IA, Dec. 15, 1932). A member of a prominent pioneer family, Millhouse worked in the hardware business and organized the GALENA GLOVE AND MITTEN COMPANY in Galena, Illinois. (1) With two others, he also purchased the J. C. Althauser store at 1333 Central in 1926. (2)

Although he moved his factory to Dubuque along Garfield Avenue in 1920, he maintained a family home in Galena but moved the family to Dubuque nine months before his death. (3)
