MCQUADE, William
MCQUADE, William. (Dubuque-Indiana, circa 1903). One of the young men who practiced acrobatics in the sawdust pile at Day's Mill, McQuade toured the country for years as one of the Work brothers. He met the same end as Art BRANDON. (1) Attempting to do a double somersault just before a parade, he broke his neck and died. He was brought to Dubuque for burial. (2)
