MATHIAS J. DRASDA. Drasda established his cooperage business around 1852. He supplied local breweries with their large casks and also manufactured barrels and kegs for the local saloons. In 1867 on a capital investment of $5,000 his company earned $7,000 while employing twelve workers. (1) He began manufacturing soda water in 1870.

The 1868-69 Dubuque City Directory listed this business on the east side of White between 20th and Eagle Point Avenue.

The 1870-1871 and 1873-74 Dubuque City Directory stated that this business could be found on the east side of White between 19th and Eagle Point Avenue.

According to the 1875-1876 and 1883 Dubuque City Directory, this business was located at 2078 White.
