LUX, William Jackson. (Saginaw, MI, June 29, 1925--Dubuque, IA, Jan. 19, 1995). Lux, a registered engineer at several companies in Illinois and Iowa including the JOHN DEERE DUBUQUE WORKS, worked as a consultant to the Illinois State Highway Safety Commission in 1966 and the Peoria School Administration of Vocational Education from 1969 to 1971. He established W.J. Lux Consulting in Dubuque in 1985.
Lux served on the CLARKE COLLEGE Development Council from 1973 to 1990. He was a member of the LORAS COLLEGE Board of regents from 1976 to 1988 and was its chairman from 1977 to 1984.
The author of three books on safety and product liability, Lux was a member of the Industrial Advisory Board of the State of Iowa for three years.
