KUTTLER, Charles A.
KUTTLER, Charles A. (Germany, June 13, 1844--Dubuque, IA, Mar. 5, 1916). Kuttler's parents emigrated to America in 1851 and moved west of Wisconsin. Kuttler came to Dubuque in 1863 and entered business as a wholesale dealer in fresh fish at No. 212 High Street. Kuttler became the largest dealer in Dubuque and shipped east to Springfield and Decatur, Illinois and as far south as Atchison, Kansas.
He married Miss Rosina Pfuffer,a native of Sherrill's Mound, Dubuque County on December 18, 1866; she died May 31, 1877, leaving two children- Charlie and Emma. In the spring of 1879, he married Miss Annie Reaser, from Dubuque; they had one daughter.
