KREPFLE, Keith Robert. (Dubuque, IA, Feb. 4, 1952-- ). Krepfle is a former American football tight end who played for eight seasons in the National Football League. He played college football at Iowa State. (1)

Krepfle was playing for the Jacksonville Sharks of the World Football League when he was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fifth round of the 1974 NFL Draft and played for them from 1975-1981. He scored the only touchdown for the Eagles in Super Bowl XV. Krepfle joined the Atlanta Falcons in 1982. (2)

In 2002 Krepfle was inducted into the Iowa State Hall of Fame. As an Iowa State athlete, he caught 94 career passes for 1,368 yards and 15 touchdowns to earn All-Big Eight First-team mention twice. He made at least 30 receptions in each of his three seasons at ISU and two of those campaigns ended in bowl games (1971 Sun and 1972 Liberty). In a memorable game at Clyde Williams Field, Krepfle scored two of the Cyclones’ three touchdowns in a 23-23 tie against third-ranked Nebraska in 1972.(3)
