KESSLER, Leslie A. (Leola, SD, Mar. 4, 1930--Apr. 12, 2014). The son of Anton and Rosalia (Galster) Kessler, Les graduated from LORAS COLLEGE in 1952, and served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Air Force during the KOREAN CONFLICT.

Kessler began his business career with FEDERAL DISCOUNT CORPORATION and later became a financial adviser. He opened the Dubuque office of BLUNT ELLIS AND LOEWI (later Wells Fargo Advisors) and served as branch manager, retiring in 2000.

Kessler was a member of ST. COLUMBKILLE CATHOLIC CHURCH. He was very active in numerous civic organizations particularly Albrecht Acres, Divine Word Seminary, and Sertoma Club. He was a past president of DUBUQUE GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB, served in numerous capacities as a volunteer at WAHLERT CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL and was included in the first Hall of Honor for the school in 1992.
