KENNEDY ROAD CINEMA. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Mayor Michael Sylvester MCCAULEY; Nickas J. YIANNIAS, president of the DUBUQUE THEATRE CORPORATION; and Mrs. Philip Adams, president of the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra Auxiliary. A buffet was held on the stage and in the lobby with the premiere attraction--"Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?"
The brochure stated that the new theater was the "first all new theater in Dubuque in 55 years; actually it is the first indoor theater in Dubuque constructed specifically for motion picture presentation."
