KANE, Leo F. (Lawler, IA, Dec. 23, 1926--Dubuque, IA, Dec. 26, 1994). Kane, an executive vice-president of AMERICAN TRUST AND SAVINGS BANK, was a member of the bank's board of directors before his retirement in 1990. For eight years, he was secretary of Group 4 of the Iowa Bankers Association and served as its chairman for two years. Kane was also a member of the executive committee of the Iowa Bankers Association for four years.

Kane served nine years as a director of the Dubuque Blood Bank and Dubuque County Mental Health. He was also a volunteer for the WAHLERT CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL Annual Appeal for twenty-two years and a captain of the activity for two years. He served on St. Anthony's Catholic School board including a term as president in 1964 and for thirty years was a member of the executive committee for fund-raising at LORAS COLLEGE. Kane was a member of the board of directors of the United Way and served three years on the Loras College Dubuque Parents' Fund Committee.
