KAHLE CARPET COMPANY. Kahle Carpet Company was started by Marvin Kahle on Central Ave., with Robert Kahle being the main floor covering installer. Later another brother James Kahle was employed as a salesman. (1)

The company was the exclusive dealer in Dubuque for Lee and Mohawk carpets and also featured Armstrong and Gold Seal inlaid linoleum and vinyls. The company moved to PLAZA 20 in 1965 to have double the floor space from the old store. The new store stocked and displayed fifty rolls of carpet minimum price range through custom groupings.
