JULIEN GUN CLUB. Organized in January 1880, the club's officers included Charles H. GREGOIRE, president; Fred Miller, vice-president; William Y. Bissell, secretary; Jule Gregoire, treasurer; and board of directors John Raup, John Hartig, and Samuel J. Cox. Strictly a pigeon shooting club, the organization was to schedule four matches annually. (1)
The first match was scheduled for Wednesday, March 24, 1880 at 9:00 a.m. Over six hundred birds were to be released during the contest. (2)
